What is MEDICAL GRADE LED used for?

LED (light-emitting diode) light therapy is a non-invasive treatment that enters the skin’s layers at various lengths based on the wave-length used. NASA originally developed it for plant growth experiments on shuttle missions and later found it to have promise for wound treatment and regenerate muscle tissue. Medical grade LEDs are TGA approved and tested for using calibrated wavelengths and higher fluence to target skin concerns more deeply. At Almeda Aesthetics we use red and infra-red light to tackle inflammation, enhance tissue regeneration and improve circulation. It is an excellent add on post multiple cosmetic and surgical treatments.
